Below are the goals for my Foundations of College Writing Course.
For each goal, I've selected work that demonstrates how I addressed that goal during the course,
and explained how, citing specific examples from my work.
I use language that is appropriate
to my genre and the conventions that
would be used in a journal by being
semi-informal and giving personal
experiences
Goal C - Students will be able to read, select, and use
evidence critically to formulate and support arguments
I think this shows an ability to create media
print along with non-print because I incorporate
pictures and symbols along with text to convey
my point in a clearer manner.
Goal E - Students will be able to describe and apply
I think this is a good example of a genre in which I used the feedback and made revisions well. I had an entirely different approach to this project until I got feedback and they said it was confusing, I used what the feedback they gave and I made this genre much better. I also did this individually because although they gave me general rules to follow the specifics I individually approached and applied what I have learned.
